Lyrics:
Spoken Intro:
The offer still stands: Whoever calls on Jesus will be saved. And yet that same Savior warns those who still try to save themselves by their own efforts. As Jesus welcomed infants and children in His arms one day, they pictured the only kind of people He would someday welcome into His eternal home. Only sinners who know they are as helpless as a small child before a holy God, and who call on Jesus to save them, will live with Him forever. Only children come.
Chorus:
Only children come,
Only little, lowly ones.
Heaven’s closed to those who boast of things they've done.
Only simple faith in the only One Who saves – only Jesus!
To Him the humble run.
Only children come.
Cast aside your confidence, lay every trophy down.
In the end, there’s Only One Who’s worthy of the crown.
Every gain or accolade – count it all as loss,
For only little children can glory in His cross.
There is no exception for the mighty or the wise –
Just a single entrance to perfect paradise.
Come with empty hands and cling to every word He speaks.
You must become a child whose heart will just believe.
