Are scenes within our story.
Joys restored and wrongs made right –
New chapters keep unfolding.
The mountain peaks our hands have reached
The still and silent aches,

On every written page.
Times we’d love to soon forget
Cannot escape the story –
Every mess of youthfulness,
The losses and the glories.
The hills and vales our feet have trailed
Can never be retraced.
The ink will spill, the book will fill
With things we can’t erase.
But this the thought I cannot shake –
It grips me deep with wonder:

Of a story filled with blunders.
On every page is hidden grace
